Washington, DC

Completed in Spring 2013, this expansive restaurant in Washington DC’s meatpacking district represents a perfect pairing of modern and historic industrial elements; GRADE’s way of acknowledging the building’s storied past while curating an enticing environment for its future guests. Design elements such as its strong lines and white tile lining the bar, are neutralized with aesthetically softer details including a sprawling white and beige marble countertop, illuminated faux beams and charming lighting fixtures reminiscent of a time long ago.

Once the location of the farmer’s market, the restaurant includes a rooftop garden where ingredients are harvested for its evolving farm-to-table menu. (Sq ft: 2,600)
