The South Africa House will realize a 15,000 SF residence in the KwaZulu-Natal province as a unique structure, interiors and program designed by GRADE to support and reinforce the mission of the Wild Tomorrow Fund: to offer donors an immersive, first-hand experience of the protected nature reserve from stunning accommodations with opportunities to partake in conservation efforts, encompassing the protection and restoration of land, wildlife and local communities. The house will be a unique environment tailored to the sub-tropical climate of the South African bushveld, featuring vast indoor-outdoor terraces and viewing decks, communal living spaces and five guest suites. A refined, modern architectural language will juxtapose with raw contextual finishes, materials and rich textures to affect an aesthetic that will both honor and complement the site’s breathtaking natural beauty.
